I guess every generation has its naysayers and doomsday
prophets. Here is an article from the
Nevada Daily Mail that struck my interest.
Not for the false prediction-the world didn’t end in 1900--I don’t find
that unusual. It struck my curiosity because
of when it occurred (1897) and where the prophet hailed from (La Porte,
Indiana).
Fast forward many years—10 Feb. 1961 to be exact. It was then a son of Royal Peterson (my father) and my mother (born in La Porte County, IN) were united
in marriage. Nothing unusual about that
but it just struck my fancy. Here is the original article:
